First memory of finding fossils

What’s your first memory of finding fossils?

I remember as a kid, I think I was around 8-9 years old, my sister and I came across what looked like an old fossil in the park. We bought it back to our dad who did a bit of research but I don’t remember what happened after that. I do remember how excited we were when we found it, thinking we’d be millionaires lol!

I don't OWN any fossils, but I have been to Glenn Rose, at Dinosaur Valley State Park. It has real Acrocanthosaurus & Sauropod footprints (the sauropod they're not sure on).

That looks cool! It goes to show the sheer size of them, I've just Googled the size of a Acrocanthosaurus and it's massive compared to humans! I've never seen footprints in person but I'd love to do so one day, I find stuff like that really fascinating.

If you're ever near Glen Rose in Texas, definitely see if you can make time to go to the state park. great place to walk a trail as well.

During the winter vacation, I used to go to my farmhouse. When in the farmhouse, I liked going to the river to play on the bank and bathe in the river. In one such excursion, I found a fossil. It was a fossil of a fish life creature trapped inside a rock. I was so excited that I took it to the school and the school administration displayed it in the science lab.
